dimensioned print in CAD: dimensions are unreadable

question:
When trying to print out a partial of the drilling layout, I click the partial option, select which holes I want dimensions for and then go to print. However, when I print out the page, although it shows correctly on the preview, it prints out all the dimensions which are difficult to even read because there are so many of them and they even overlap each other so that one is on top of another. How can I select only the ones that I need.

answer:

  • use the X and Y relative dimensioning mode (and not absolute)
  • the procedure prints out the panel at the same dimension and position as on the current cad screen. If the dimensioning in the resulting print are unreadable, when in PARTIAL, make a zoom of the interested part of the panel and then select the holes to be dimensioned.
  • use the dimensioning environment tools->dimensioning (where available) where you can dimension holes, routings, radius, ...., and then use the file->print command
  •
