Grooves not automatically assigned to the saw

program: ASPAN, TASK

The grooves drawn in the CAD (routings with groove attribute enabled and shown with different color from the normal routings) are not automatically assigned to the saw in the CAM environment. A groove is automatically assigned to the saw only if it is feasible. If, for instance, the diameter (thickness) of the saw is not correct or the blade cannot reach that position, the saw tool will not be assigned. To identify the problem it is enough to try to assign manually the saw tool to the groove to be executed. The manual assignment procedure will point out the reason of the not feasibility. It should be noted that the automatic assignment procedure, if doesn't find a suitable saw tool, it will try to assign to the grooves the first feasible router
